2026 Merida Big Nine 20 Mountain Bike

The 2025 Merida Big Nine 20 Mountain Bike is a single chainring-equipped using Shimanos new for 2026 drivetrain "Shimano Essa". This is an entry-level 29er aluminium hardtail that provides a more upright and comfortable riding position compared to our race-focused hardtails. This geometry reduces strain on the lower back and enhances visibility, offering a confident ride on diverse terrains. Suspension has been upgraged from the old model with extra travel and is now equipped with a 120 mm SR Suntour suspension fork and hydraulic disc brakes, it ensures a smooth and controlled experience.

Mountain biking demands the best from your equipment, and while full suspension bikes offer exceptional performance, the hardtail remains a classic, pure choice. The BIG.NINE series, available in both carbon and aluminium, showcases modern frame technology and versatility. The updated geometry offers improved handling and standover clearance for tough trails, while the TR options add extra fork travel, aggressive tires, and dropper posts for more adventurous rides. The more relaxed geometry of the BIG.NINE TFS and SPEED focuses on rider comfort and control.
